MCP Project 52 Week 7: Love

I know I’m a little late in posting my pictures of “Love” since Valentine’s was on Monday, but that’s just how life is sometimes.  The pictures have been in my camera for a while, it’s the getting them off the computer and formatted that sometimes gets a little bogged down.  But I’ve also done about a mountain of laundry and pulled off a pretty fun Blue and Gold Cub Scout banquet this week too.  I promise I’m not just twiddling my thumbs.

I have to admit the first picture is not something I made.  My husband surprised me with these tasty little beauties for Valentine’s Day.  They were so cute I had to take a picture before they disappeared, which happened seconds after the picture was taken.  Zero percent will power right here!

But I couldn’t end there. Wednesday night our power went out and we had the rare opportunity to enjoy a more primitive evening together. We talked, laughed, and read together. It was heaven. My girls really enjoyed the one candle I lit. We don’t appreciate light until it is gone. I love the modern conveniences we enjoy today, but there is something cozy and cheerful about a flickering candle flame. My heart also fills with love seeing my three girls sharing this quiet moment together.

It was a special night and I look forward to the next power outage.
Much Love,
April

  • Those strawberries look wonderful! I’ll bet they did disappear very quickly. They sure would in our house! Your husband did a great job!

Love the picture of your girls. Our power went out not too long ago and we had fun having dinner by candlelight. The kids thought it was pretty fun!
