Landscaping Lawn and Garden

The Bungalow Gets Grass: FINALLY!

Getting grass has been a long process.  Since July 2010 we’ve been working to get the bungalow grass starting here. This last week the front yard was growing weeds again, so I knew it was time to hunker down and order sod. And I  did!

I hired my neighbor to help weed and level the yard in preparation for grass. And then yesterday, Tuesday, it was delivered. So, no more neglected bungalow landscape. No more brown with a touch of weeds.

April brought her crew to help with the laying.  Buddy, Princess, and TS (Total Sweetness) proved invaluable.

They are turning into such a useful little work crew.

Just like their mother, they are work horses. Thank goodness…otherwise some of us work-babies wouldn’t get anything done.

Brooke and the Renovation Whisperer showed up too, which was just as our first crew was running out of steam.

At least to work…

Despite it taking nearly a year, as described in part 1, two, three, four, five, and six, we now, FINALLY, have grass! We’ve gone from this:

And Xyla approves.
