photoshoot: baby sprite

grsphotoshoot4376

The other day I made it down to Paula’s for a baby photo shoot. This cute little sprite isn’t escaping the first weeks of life without the required semi-naked pictures.

We put baby sprite into a large basket with a soft pillow and then moved the basket around to get various light coming in through the windows.

After the basket shots, when she started to get hungry, we moved to the couch for some food and then clothes.

I know the shot isn’t in focus, but what can you do with a wobbly baby? Paula said this shot made Miss Sprite look like an orangutan.

Maybe there’s some resemblance.

The following shots are some of the various angles and edits made thus far in our photo shoot process. There are so many shots and I’m a bit biased as the photographer and loving aunt. So if you have opinions about what shots you like best, feel free to let me know.

This last picture I actually used some actions in photo shop.

But hopefully you can see what you like and offer suggestions for edits.

Cheers!

  • I hope you decide to do the time progression set of photographs. A neighbor does baby photos in a set of every three months for the first year so there are four different episodes of the baby’s first year. It seems to be a good way to show how the baby develops and progresses. Miss Sparrow would probably get even more use to the pictures with the same thing and then we’d all be able to see how they’re changing and growing!
